How to request your PS3 streaming Blu Ray disc from Netflix
Recently Netflix and Sony announced a partnership whereby Netflix subscribers who also own a Playstation 3 can stream rentals right on their PS3.
As a PS3 owner I was pretty excited, and when the announcement came that this service was set to begin in November I was immediately searching for a way to request my Blu-Ray disc.
As it turns out, this was more difficult than it should be. Went to Netflix, and there’s no mention of this other than their press release. Clicked on “Change Plan,” and there’s nothing there either. Decided to make a wild guess, and typed in http://netflix.com/ps3… bingo! Not sure why this is hidden or not more apparent, but ah well.
To request your Blu-Ray disc from Netflix that will allow you to stream movies right on your Playstation, go to http://www.netflix.com/ps3. If you’re logged in, just click the button to reserve your disc. A message will be displayed informing you that your disc is on the way.
Note to Netflix– shouldn’t this be a little easier to do? Just thinking out loud here, but maybe it makes sense to put a small promo or link on your site with directions on how to get the disc?
